THE SHELBOURNE HOTEL OPENS ITS CHAMPAGNE TERRACE FOR SUMMER
Rejoice, champagne connoisseurs! Relax, the Champagne Terrace has returned to The Shelbourne for the summer and this year the bubbles on offer are by Laurent-Perrier.
From May 8th escape into the lush, garden-feel venue with floral installations that showcases some of the brand's finest champagnes alongside a selection of champagne cocktails with a new caviar menu to match.
Open to the public from Wednesday the Champagne Terrace is a great spot for those seeking a blissful afternoon tipple after shopping or an evening of sophisticated al fresco dining.
Curated by head chef Garry Hughes, the new summer menu on The Terrace features a variety of sweet and savoury options whether you're enjoying a spot of lunch, light bites, or dinner dining.
Sink your teeth into some savoury treats from oysters and baked garlic prawns to a tasty seafood sharing platter, all of which are a classic pairing with Laurent-Perrier champagne.
For those with a sweet tooth, The Terrace offers a modern take on the traditional classics peach melba, pecan pie, éclairs and carrot cake.
A wide range of champagnes are available by the glass or bottle, ranging from €26 for a glass to €230 for a bottle.
There are also two special champagnes that are exclusively available by the bottle: Laurent-Perrier Grand Siècle at €350 and Laurent-Perrier Alexandra Grand Cuvée Rosé at €500.
If you'd prefer a light, refreshing cocktail, The Champagne Terrace offers four unique champagne cocktail blends, which are sure to hit the spot!
The Grand Dame has delightful notes of peach and jasmine, and the Purple Passion is a vibrant and summery combination with a combination of violette liqueur, Grand Marnier, clarified mint, pineapple cordial and peach bitters.
The French 1824 brings together Angostura 1824, pomegranate liqueur and lemon juice while the Shelbourne Velvet combines the Champagne with Shelbourne Irish Whiskey Stout.
