PICS: BEST BEAUTY LOOKS AT THE MET GALA 2024

New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art was the place to be to see the A-listers pose up a storm for the Met Gala 2024. Everyone from JLo to Demi and Zendaya, SJP and Ariana Grande donned their bespoke gowns for the Sleeping Beauties-themed fashion extravaganza.

There were wigs, skinny brows and flowers galore adorning the clothes and bodies of the celebrity gathering and blush was probably the most obvious makeup product on the night. The museum fundraiser is best described as Fashion Christmas and it didn't disappoint.

There was a definite feeling of otherworldliness at the Met Gala for the first time in years, and these are the beauty looks we liked the most.

Met Gala - Zendaya

Skinny brows, tousled hair and a Merlot glossy lip, Zendaya wore Maison Margiela to the Met Gala and looked sensational.

Demi Moore

Demi Moore looked incredible in a couture gown by British American designer, Harris Reed. Her long hair had a glass-like shine and her makeup was simple. Cartier fine jewellery completed her Met Gala look.

Jennifer Lopez

JLo wore custom Schiaparelli Haute Couture with a whopper of a Tiffany & Co necklace to the Gala. Her hair was in an updo that had an 'undone' feel to it and she wore copper and silver eyeshadow which was a departure from her usual smokey eye.

Gigi Hadid

Gigi Hadid wore a bold red lip with her Thom Browne bespoke gown. Her hair has been freshly cropped and is shorter than it's been for a long time.

Kendall Jenner

Kendall Jenner always looks incredible at the Met Gala and this year she chose vintage for the Met Gala wearing an archive Givenchy 1999 Couture gown and pairing it with jewellery from Lorraine Schwartz. Her hair was rolled away from her face and left long and loose.

Lana Del Rey

Lana Del Rey took the theme to the extreme with her custom Alexander McQueen gown with the chiffon shroud of branches. covering her head. We imagine it was removed before dinner but it was a striking look.

Nicole Kidman

Nicole Kidman wore an off-white Balenciaga gown with an underskirt made with black feathers. There were plenty of black and white gowns at the Met Gala in a sea of florals, as was predicted. Her tousled hair and cat eye finished her look.

Sarah Jessica Parker

SJP was our favourite look of the night and the Lyric FM fan was wearing Irish with her Philip Treacy hat. Her Richard Quinn gown had matching booties, and we love her quirky bag. Beauty-wise, she wore her signature long hair and smokey eye and it looks great.

Janelle Monae

Janelle Monae sparkled in custom Vera Wang at the Met Gala. Unusually demure, the singer normally pushes the limits of her red carpet looks, but her makeup and hair are sophisticated and beautiful. She did have a killer manicure though.

Rita Ora

Rita Ora was very daring in Marni for the Met Gala wearing what looked like a flesh-coloured body stocking with some strategic sequinned strings. Her hair is cropped quite short now and she sported a wet-look vibe to go with her silver eyeshadow.

Kylie Jenner

Kylie Jenner is having a beauty transformation at the minute, her look is evolving into something much more relaxed and natural. Her hair was lightly curled and pinned up for the Met Gala and her makeup was soft and pretty to go with her Oscar de la Renta gown.

Cara Delevingne

Choosing a hairstyle wasn't necessary for Cara Delevingne who wore Stella McCartney for the Gala. Wearing endless amounts of diamond jewellery with a very pretty makeup look, she was spotted having all the lols with the designer and Ed Sheeran on the red carpet.

Kim Kardashian

People are scratching their heads today about the casual cardi Kim Kardashian wore with her custom Maison Margiela gown. We actually like it as a look, and her hair always looks good blonde.

Emily Ratajkowski

Emily Ratajkowski didn't leave a lot (or anything at all) to the imagination at the Met Gala wearing vintage Versace 2001 with Chopard jewellery. She did have one of the most structured hairstyles of the night and, as always, a great smokey eye.

Dua Lipa

Dua Lipa wore Marc Jacobs to the Gala and it seemed to be a gown of many parts. Her red hair was going strong and it was giving Gothic vibes on the night. Her makeup was very much her favourite look and quite muted. See more looks from the big night out below.
